Annmarie Larkins is a writer-director from Raleigh, North Carolina whose work is shaped by her upbringing in a large, vibrant family. As the eldest daughter, she developed a sharp eye for human behavior—observing the nuances of conflict, intimacy, and unspoken truths that often emerge in close-knit spaces.​ Her storytelling is rooted in a deep curiosity about people: how they think, what they hide, and the tension between what is said and what is meant. This perspective informs her distinct voice as a filmmaker.
